Location and Directions

Avery is conveniently located and easy to find.  We are at the intersection of Route 857 (Old Cheat Road) and the Tyrone-Avery Road.

From Interstate 68 - West:  Take exit seven (Airport/Pierpont Road).  At the end of the exit ramp, take a left onto State Route 857.  Go straight through the next stop light.  Travel two miles to Avery United Methodist Church.  The church is a two story white building that is in the right side of the road.  It is located just past the intersection of State Route 857 and the Tyrone-Avery Road.

From Interstate 68 - East:  Take exit seven (Airport/Pierpont Road).  At the end of the exit ramp, take a right onto State Route 857.  Travel two miles to Avery United Methodist Church.  The church is a two story white building that is in the right side of the road.  It is located just past the intersection of State Route 857 and the Tyrone-Avery Road.

From Downtown/Suncrest Area of Morgantown: Travel on U.S. Route 119 to the bottom of Easton Hill.  At the bottom of Easton Hill, take a right at the traffic light.  Travel on State Route 857 to the next traffic light.  Go straight through the light.  (Glenmark Centre will be on your left.)  Go straight through the following stop light.  Travel two miles to Avery United Methodist Church.  The church is a two story white building that is in the right side of the road.  It is located just past the intersection of State Route 857 and the Tyrone-Avery Road.

From the eastern side of Cheat Lake:  Travel on State Route 857 South.  Go across the old iron bridge over Cheat Lake.  Stay on State Route 857 for approximately three miles.  The church is a two story white building that is in the left side of the road.  It is located just before the intersection of State Route 857 and the Tyrone-Avery Road.
